Pinkel vs Spurrier, no contest. Big 12 vs SEC, no contest.

When all the bowls were announced, this was one of three that I marked in pen and not with a pencil. Looking for a "Pinkel Independence Bowl Repeat" today....just like two years ago when Mizzou was overmatched against Arkansas and beaten 27-14, in a game that was not even that close. If So Carolina has Mizzou down at the half...the game is over. Pinkel is unable to make any adjustments during a game, at halftime, or when the game is over. He basically wasted a talent in Smith...and today he loses his 2nd bowl game at Mizzou, going down to the SEC twice. So Carolina's defense is solid, and I look for them to contain Smith. Plus the key factor of Spurrier's gameplanning vs. Pinkel.... and that did it for me. Number is 3.5, so bought the hook. My special play:

Key element to my selection being witnessed here...Pinkel watches the game, sees what is happening to his team...which is a guy that wears number 4...named Rice has 9 catches for 170 yards in the 2nd quarter....and he will not change any of the coverages on him. Love it! You would think he would double him...

1st and goal from the 1 yardline after a successful fake FG, and he calls three straight runs from a spread formation!!! Wow!!! Then his kicker misses the FG! Uses a TO, runs off half the clock....the man simply deserves a pay raise!! :missingte

LSU/Miami Pick

So Carolina gets outscored 24-3 in 22 minutes of the 2nd half. ucking:

The old ball coach loses to ahemm...Pinkel, and I lose my play on SC. Maybe Pinkel gets to keep his job...who knows.

Anyway, made a play on the LSU/Miami game. Miami's defense should be the difference here in an easy winner. I expect Flynn to really have a difficult time in this spot, and Miles may want to run the ball but Miami only allows 2.7yds/per attempt. Will get even for the day with this play:

2nd Half Pick

Lost on SoCarolina, in the 2nd half...Miami gets the ball 1st and will get something going in the 2nd half, although I was impressed w/Flynn's play, did not think he would do that against Miami's D....so lets see him do it again in the 2nd half. I will back Miami at +11 now. Besides all of the teams that came back today...why not Miami? One play:
